Oppo Reno 7 Pro review 2022

Hey, what’s up?
MK here.

Today we are going to take a quick look at
the OPPO Reno 7 Pro.

As I just got this prototype for only two days and I haven’t had much time to go deep with it. So, this video is by no means an in-depth review video, it’s more like my first impression and I will share my experience with you just like talking with a friend, in a fun and honest way. Just like my sponsor Geekbuying’s Black Friday promotion, they have lots of cool and useful gadgets, at the best price EVER! Go check out if you are interested,

Start with the unboxing. This is the packaging, kind of the same as the Reno 6. What I got is the Shooting Star version, not sure what the official name will be. And it comes with 8gigs of RAM + 256gigs of ROM. Open the box, we find the same insert with the same logo on it: You are shining in my eyes! We find a VIP card, quick guide, and warranty card inside it. Under that is the phone.

My first impression is, obviously OPPO is inspired a lot by iPhone, isn’t it? But I do like the back, it reflects different colors under different angles, looks beautiful and elegant, we’ll take a closer look later. We also find the 65W fast charging adapter, a soft silicone case, a pin, and the type-c charging cable. Now moving to the phone.
I guess you already knew the specs?

Because I checked all those leaked specs online
prior to the launch event, they match exactly.

The phone comes with a 6.55-inch full HD+
display with 90Hz refresh rate.

On it there is a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709
selfie camera.

The back comes with a triple camera sensor
with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera,

8-megapixel ultrawide-angle Sony IMX355 camera, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The battery is 4,500mah with 65W fast charging support. The phone sports the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 Max SoC paired with up 12GB RAM, and the OS is the ColorOS 12 based on Android 11,

which I have done a review about it, you can check it out. So all these leaks seem to leave very little to the imagination. But is it true? Yes, it’s true. But there are some unique features that I haven’t found on any other phones, which I really like. First is the craftsmanship of the back. On the Reno7 Pro, OPPO creatively applied laser imaging technology to glass materials, and formed 1.2 million fine grating lines based on the crystal diamond process, giving the glass back shell a three-dimensional touch. It’s like you are holding the whole universe.

This technology makes the Reno7 Pro show cold and warm colors. Can you believe that, two types of colors, cold and warm on one phone. And the color and texture are constantly changing between the light flow. Man, this really is a piece of art, you will never feel boring with a phone! Every person I handed this phone to, they like it.

What really amazes me is the durability, it’s totally scratch-resistant and fingerprints proof. You want me to prove? Just a second. You see? Totally scratch-resistant and fingerprints-resistant. How can I say no to such an elegant and durable phone? Second is the unique pulsating light around the edges of the camera module for notification alerts. You can choose which time to show the breathing light, which App to support blinking for notifications etc in the settings. This is super cool and no phone companies have done this before. Just like MKBHD said on Twitter: This might actually be the most clever use of a giant camera bump I’ve seen. Yeah, me too. And speaking of the camera module, I did test some photos, more will be in my next video, I will do a dedicated camera testing video, stay tuned for that. My first impression seems like the Reno 7 Pro has a really good portrait performance under dim light and backlight.

And the bokeh effect is great. I think girls won’t complain about my camera shooting skills finally. For others like Antutu Benchmark, here is the score if you are interested to know. Gaming, I just don’t think nowadays this kind of mid to high end phone has any issues, it’s just smooth and decent, except for my lousy gaming skills. The cooling system is really cool. I personally feel has improved from the Reno 6 Pro. Alright, that’s a really simple unboxing and hands-on of the Reno 7 Pro. I promise I will do an in-depth video days later, please stay tuned for that

and subscribe to my blog if you haven’t. And let me know if you like the shooting star design of the Reno 7 Pro in the comments section. Now I’m going to see some real shooting stars… in my dream, bye. Please subscribe. Keywords
